We invite you to worship with us New Years Day at 10am. We will have just the one service that Sunday.
Put a Bow on it – Kid’s Message Series for December
In Kid’s Church, starting December 4th, Pastor Catie will be leading the children in a learning series, Put a Bow on it. Here’s what the kids will be learning each week-
12/4/16
This week we will learn that we can have joy because God keeps his promises. We don’t always see the bigger story that God is telling through our lives. But when we remember how God has kept His promise to us in the past, we realize that we can trust God with our future.
12/11/16
This week we will learn that we can have joy because anything is possible with God. Knowing that God can do the impossible has the possibility to fuel our joy. God may not always choose to do the impossible right away or at all, but that doesn’t mean He isn’t faithful. God can give us joy as we learn and grow during those impossible seasons of life.
12/18/16
This week we will learn that we can have joy because God sent his son. Christmas lights and presents are fun and can bring joy during the Christmas season. But none of that compares to the joy we experience when we believe that Jesus is God’s Son.
12/25/16
Christmas Day, one service at 10am, no kids church, kids will be in the main service.
Advent: the first season of the Christian church year
Join us for Advent season, starting Sunday, Nov. 27th and running through Christmas Day. What is Advent? Advent is the first season of the Christian church year, leading up to Christmas and including the four preceding Sundays. It is the expectation of the arrival, the birth, of our Savior, Jesus Christ. A time of longing and yearning for the Light of the world.

Spotlight – Kid’s Message Series for November
In Kid’s Church, starting November 6th, Pastor Catie will be leading the children in a learning series, SPOTLIGHT, Do You See What I See? It’s all about seeing people the way God does. Here’s what the kids will be learning each week-
11/6/16
This week we will learn that often we have people in our lives that we tend to overlook. This story reminds us that God has a different way for us to look at the people around us. We can give people a chance because that’s what God does for us.
11/13/16
This week we will learn that when we see people as God sees them, we start to realize that how we treat them matters. One of the easiest ways we can show people honor is by putting their needs before our own. This is exactly what God did for us when He sent Jesus to be our Savior.
11/20/16
This week we will learn that part of honoring others is keeping your word when you say you’ll do something. This not only builds trust, but also shows people you think they’re valuable. No one feels good when people let them down. Take time to go above and beyond to keep the promises you make to others.
11/27/16
This week we will learn that the secret to showing honor to others is to understand that it begins with honoring God and giving Him the credit for everything we have. We can make it a point to honor God with every aspect of our lives.
Holiday Craft Fair: Nov. 12th, 10am-4pm
Help Make A Difference in People’s Lives
DID YOU KNOW?
1 in 10: The number of people in the world who don’t have access to safe water.
1 in 3: The number of people who have no access to a bathroom.
700,000: The number of children that die every year due to lack of clean water.
Almost a billion people in our world are living without access to clean water. As a result, the leading cause of death worldwide is illness due to waterborne disease, lack of sanitation, and poor hygiene practices. In fact, every 15 seconds, a child dies due to water-related causes.
Water is essential to basic living, hygiene, food security, and health. A water well provides essential drinking water and hygiene, prevents sickness, and is the basis for successful farming and food security, especially during times of little rain. A well in a village can help keep women and children from having to walk long distances and carry heavy containers of water every day.
TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE LIVING WITHOUT SAFE WATER.
TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE THAT.
The money raised by New Vision from our Holiday Craft Fair will be used to dig and build a well that will provide clean, safe water for an entire community.
Here’s how you can help-
BE A VENDOR – Your booth space rental fee will go towards the well project.
DONATE YOUR CRAFTS – The sale of your craft items will go towards the well project.
DONATE YOUR TIME – Help on one of our create-a-craft workdays in October or help during the hours of the Craft Fair.
SHOP! New Vision’s portion of the proceeds from your purchases will go directly to the well project.
SHARE! Invite your friends by sharing our Facebook event page: Holiday Craft Fair

Fear, Inc. – Kid’s Message Series for October
In Kid’s Church, starting October 2nd, Pastor Catie will be leading the children in a learning series, Fear, Inc., about taking their first steps in courage. Here’s what the kids will be learning this month-
10/2/16
This week we will learn that you can do what you should even when you don’t know what will happen next. Most of the time our fear comes from assuming something about the future that may or may not happen. Courage doesn’t mean our fear is gone. Rather, courage is choosing to act even though we are afraid.
10/9/16
This week we will learn that you can do what you should even when you don’t feel ready. We all face times when we feel like we’re supposed to do something, but fear that we won’t have what it takes to get it done. We can have courage to follow through knowing that God can give us what we need to get the job done.
10/16/16
This week we will learn that you can do what you should even when things seem impossible. We may not face the Red Sea or an army of angry Egyptians, but we will face moments where what we need to do will feel impossible to us. When that happens, we can remember that we can trust God no matter what.
10/23/16
This week we will learn that you can do what you should even when others are afraid. We will face times when the people around us are scared or making unwise choices. When that happens, we should trust God. He can give us the courage we need to do what we should and be an example that points others to Him.
10/30/16
This week we will learn that you can do what you should because God is with you. Even when what we’re asked to do doesn’t make sense, we can have courage to do it knowing that God is helping us. We should remember that God is near and He is for us. We can trust God no matter what and have courage to do what we should.

We’ll be back in time for church on Sunday. For more info see Alex Oliver or Larry Stock.
Moving Mountains
When it comes to prayer, have you ever wondered, “Will it work for me?” or “Can I do it?” In this teaching series, Pastor Kens starts with these questions and then goes much deeper. If you want to draw closer to God and positively impact your own life and those around you through prayer, this series is for you. Learn to listen for God, let him teach you and expect great things.

July 3rd @ 11am: Worship & Potluck
On Sunday, July 3rd, we are having one special, combined worship service at 11 a.m. Immediately following we are having a potluck to celebrate Pastor Jason’s service to our church and community on his last Sunday at New Vision.
Why the Church?
On July 3rd, Pastor Jason shares his final word of encouragement at New Vision Church. In his message, Why The Church?, he will explore questions such as:Is church still relevant? With so many online options, is church even needed? With so many scandals involving religious leaders, is church still helpful? Guided by the story of the followers of Jesus and their experiences after he ascended to heaven, you will be challenged to consider that church is indeed still relevant and helpful for your own spiritual growth as well as that of your family and the world.
