VBS – Register Today! Starts July 18

Prepare to embark on an adventure like no other, scouring the mysterious fathoms of the deep sea. Thrilling discoveries await just beyond the portholes of your submarine. Things look very different once you get below the surface!

Expeditions begin July 18-22  9AM – NOON.

Each day kids will explore the ocean depths by creating awesome crafts,
playing fun games, singing cool songs, enjoying tasty snacks and diving deep into God’s word.  Together we’ll discover how Jesus sees us for who we are deep down, not just who we appear to be on the surface

We’re recruiting divers ages 4 years through 6th grade.

July 3rd @ 11am: Worship & Potluck

On Sunday, July 3rd, we are having one special, combined worship service at 11 a.m. Immediately following we are having a potluck to celebrate Pastor Jason’s service to our church and community on his last Sunday at New Vision.

Why the Church?

On July 3rd, Pastor Jason shares his final word of encouragement at New Vision Church.   In his message, Why The Church?,  he will explore questions such as:Is church still relevant?   With so many online options, is church even needed?   With so many scandals involving religious leaders, is church still helpful?  Guided by the story of the followers of Jesus and their experiences after he ascended to heaven, you will be challenged to consider that church is indeed still relevant and helpful for your own spiritual growth as well as that of your family and the world.

Pastor Jason accepts a new call

Pastor Jason recently announced that he has accepted a call to pastor a church in Ridgefield, Washington.  While we are happy for Pastor and his family, we will miss Pastor Jason, Erica, Olivia and Easton.  Pastor Jason’s last Sunday at New Vision will be this Sunday, July 3. Please join us that day as we have a “Celebration Send Off” Potluck for Pastor Jason.

The Church Board will be meeting with our District Superintendent, Rev. Jeren Rowell, as we begin the process of searching for a new pastor.

4. A Hole in the GospelIs our faith only about going to church, studying the Bible, and avoiding the most serious sins – or does God expect more? Have we embraced the whole gospel or a gospel with a hole in it? Fifteen years ago Rich Stearns came face-to- face with that question as he sat in a mud hut in Rakai, Uganda. Stearns’s compelling story demon- strates that the whole gospel was always meant to be a world-changing, social revolution, a revolution that begins with each one of us.

Thursdays 6:30 – 8:15 PM, May 5 through June 9
Leader: Goldie Guyer
Location:  Goldie’s Home
Voltage: High

5. TrustWho do you trust the most? Do you trust yourself–your wisdom, your skills, your money or God the most? Join us to unpack what the New Testament says about trust.  In our postmodern world, people do not just easily accept our system of beliefs and become a believer in Christ, so we won’t learn a 7 steps to salvation plan,  but a method of guiding them to discover the truths of God’s Word for themselves whether they are a believer, nonbeliever or a person of another religion. Most importantly, we will learn to disciple like Jesus discipled.

Tuesdays, 7:00 PM, May 5 through June 28
Leader: Martha Martin
Location:   TBD
Voltage: Low
