Church Family,

We are so very excited that on Sunday November 1st many of us will be able to Re-Gather in person. This letter will update everyone on what to expect, what safety protocols are in place, and what we are doing to keep everyone connected. First of all, we have updated our live-streaming camera that connects to our sound system. This is a game changer! If you have had issues hearing the livestream in the past please try it again. We will continue to livestream the worship service each Sunday on Facebook Live at 10 a.m.

If you are planning to attend worship in person, please conduct your own health screening using the checklist below each week.

Health Screening Checklist

Have you had any of the following symptoms within the last couple days that you cannot attribute to another health condition? If yes to any, kindly stay home and care for yourself or seek medical treatment. Also join us via Facebook Live.

Do you have:

Fever (100.4°F or higher), or feeling feverish?

Chills?

A new cough?

Shortness of breath?

A new sore throat?

New muscle aches?

New headache?

New loss of smell or taste?

As Churches are high risk areas for spreading communicable diseases we are requiring masks be worn by everyone. It is important that everyone wear masks that cover the nose and mouth. Sports neck gaiters or bandanas are not sufficient to reduce the odds of transmission of spittle or water droplets.

The seating looks very different in the sanctuary to allow room for social distancing. all rows are spaced over six feet apart. Please sit with your family unit (anyone who lives in your home) while allowing four empty chairs between family units.

We are very excited to ReGather in person while continuing our online connection. We know that our gathering will be different. But we will continue to gather in one spirit as we honor our Lord with worship.

If you have any questions about our plan, please contact the church office at 816-348-0303.

Frequently Asked Questions

What steps has the Church taken to keep everyone’s health a priority?

There are several hand sanitizer stations throughout the church.

All hard surfaces in the sanctuary, lobby, and restrooms will be wiped down with bleach disinfectant wipes each week.

All seating and high contact areas will be sprayed with Virex II 256 spray (made to kill 99.9% of viruses and what our local school districts use as recommended by the CDC) weekly.

We have upgraded our air filters for central air to be MERV 13 as recommended by CDC and will be changed regularly in accordance with those recommendations.

Will you be doing temperature checks at the door?

All Church staff and worship band will be temperature checked as they arrive each week. We will not temperature check each person that attends worship as part of the health check list above hope individuals who are running a fever will stay home.

Will there be nursery or Kids Church?

At this time the Nursery and Children’s Church will not be available. With that in mind we have installed Koala Care baby changing stations in both the men’s and women’s restrooms. We have also purchased Toddleroo baby plastic play barrier to allow families with small children to attend.

Will there be snacks, coffee, or other drinks available?

We will not be serving any food or drink. The water fountains have been turned off. Feel free to bring your own drinks to service.

How will we do communion?

Communion will be served using prepackaged sanitary communion cups. They will distributed by staff who will be wearing masks and gloves. For those who are unable to attend in person and would like to participate in communion please let the office know ahead of time so that we can bring the elements to you before service. We take communion on the first Sunday of each month.

Anything else that we should know?

We also ask that people bring their own bibles either digitally or physically to service. We will not have pew bibles out on the chairs. If anyone forgot their bible or does not have one we have pew bibles available by request.
