We believe that people must be encouraged and challenged to go deeper in their faith. As humans, “we do what we are committed to.” Therefore we invite our members to make ever increasing commitments to Christ, the Church, maturity, and service. We accomplish this through our C.L.A.S.S. program.

C.L.A.S.S. stands for Christian Life And Service Seminars. C.L.A.S.S. consists of a series of seminars on membership, discipleship, and ministry. Classes are scheduled as needed. Please see the to find out when the next class will be offered, or contact the church office at 816.348.0303 to let us know that you are interested in taking a particular class.

C.L.A.S.S. 101 – Discovering Church Membership is the basic introduction to New Vision Church. It serves as our membership class, and is required for everyone who wants to become a member. The goal of C.L.A.S.S. 101 is for participants to commit themselves to Christ and to the New Vision Church family. The primary Scripture verse for this class is Ephesians 2:19 “…You are a member of God’s very own family…and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” C.L.A.S.S. 101 is usually taught on one afternoon. In this class you will learn about our Salvation (what God has done for us), our Statements (Why we exist as a church), our Strategy (how we fulfill our purpose), and our Structure (when and where we fulfill our purpose).

C.L.A.S.S. 201 – Discovering Spiritual Maturity is the second in our series of basic classes. The goal of C.L.A.S.S. 201 is for participants to commit themselves to the four basic habits necessary for spiritual growth, to learn the skills needed to begin the habits, and also to use the tools needed to continue the habits. The four habits include: daily time in God’s Word; Prayer; Tithing; and Fellowship through small groups. The Scripture focus for C.L.A.S.S. 201 is Ephesians 4:14-15, “We are not meant to remain as children … but to grow up in every way into Christ…”

C.L.A.S.S. 301 – Discovering My Ministry is the third in our series of basic classes. The goal of C.L.A.S.S. 301 is for participants to discover their unique S.H.A.P.E. for ministry, commit themselves to developing and using their God-given gifts and abilities, and then to begin serving in the ministry of New Vision Church. Participants learn about how their Spiritual gifts, Heart & passions, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences come together to point them to a ministry where they will be effective and feel fulfilled. The Scripture focus for C.L.A.S.S. 301 is Ephesians 4: 11-12, “(God) has given… pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of ministry, so the body of Christ may be built up.”
